Ugh, I hate uploading sketches. But my tablet pen is missing, so I have to deal with sketches for a while. I'll try to get this updated real soon. EVEN IF I HAVE TO COLOR WITH COLORED PENCILS.

This is my character for the OCT, "The hats are off!". ([link])

WARNING: TMI.

Name: Rot N. Carcass (Not his real name. The name he gave himself after he figured out that he was a Zombie.)
Gender: male
Age: 15-17 years at death (Died VERY recently)
Personality: Dopey, selfish, gluttonous, cautious. Rot only looks after his own well-being, but only out of childish innocence. He isn’t very smart, much to Horus’s disappointment and frustration. Rot is easy to trick and take advantage of, but Horus keeps him from being too stupid most of the time.
Species: Zombie/living dead
Weaknesses: He is very slow because of the Rigor mortis that Horis still hasn’t cured. He if constantly stiff and in dull pain. He is also very heavy for his size, and can’t use Horus’s wings because they can’t support his weight. If he is set on fire or if his head is separated from his body, he is almost definitely down. Losing contact with Horus also causes him to begin decomposing. He is uncoordinated, and not particularly skilled in wielding any weapon.
Strengths: He has fantastic balance and is very steady and durable. He can take a lot of damage before feeling any effects, and is almost completely un-phased by slash and stab shots. Being Heavy is also a strength, as it keeps him from being flung or grabbed. He has superhuman Zombie strength. Horus’s smarts and good planning are what allows Rot to exceed in any way at all.
Noteworthy Physical features: His body is covered in messy, careless stitches from the few repairs the scientist made to his body before bringing him to life. He still shows signs of Livor and Pallor mortis, though they disappear more and more as he regains life. His body figure is generally pear-shaped, and he is a little chubby. He has a musty, non-living, almost chemical smell.
Back story: Rot was brought back to life as a decomposing zombie along with many others by a mad scientist in his small, rural town. The power used to raise the dead was acquired from an ancient ruler’s crown, which the scientist had complete control over. The zombies, having more individual thought than the scientist originally had planned, rebelled, giving Rot the opportunity to steal the crown and run away (though this action was purely out of blind greed, and Rot was oblivious to the power it contained). Upon figuring out the power he had, however, and with the persuasion of Horus, Rot set out to gain power and, more importantly to him, gain his independent life back.

HAT:

Name: Yucatan, but Rot nicknames it Horus because of its eye.
Gender: Male
Personality: Very calm, collected, and persuasive. He takes complete control over Rot, promising gifts and favors in return for the use of his body. He speaks in a deep, smooth voice, and calls everyone “Baby”. He is bent on great power and tries to convince himself that Rot is just his pawn, though he almost has a fatherly attachment to him.
Style: Beret. Can be flattened into a disk.
Weapons/abilities: He uses Rot’s brainpower directly to power his attacks. Horus has retractable falcon wings, and its eye can be used to hypnotize the enemy into paralysis. Hypnosis is only a stalling technique, however, since Rot is too weak mentally to move while Horus is using hypnosis and becomes paralyzed as well as the enemy. It is a chance for Rot and Horus to plan their next move. Sometimes Horus takes complete control of Rot’s mind and body, though it exhausts him too much for him to use it for more than ten minutes at a time.
Horus is also able to absorb some of the life force of those that Rot comes in physical contact with, and uses it to slowly turn Rot back into a living, breathing person again.
